Goal:

Create youth friendly, flexible, multipurpose spaces where young people feel welcome and connected to their library service.

Create a dedicated youth space within the library.
Select furniture and fittings with the needs, preferences and input of teenagers as a priority being mindful of issues including gender, culture and flexible use of space.
Ensure the space is a space for people as well as books.
Incorporate technology into the space.
Develop a youth protocol and or policy to guide use of the space and behaviour in the library that encourages feedback and interaction.
